[Have a certain alien in a brightly-colored uniform in front of the mirror. Kal seems to be sitting front of the singing statues, the hymns marking the start of the message. It seems like he's been writing the hymns, trying to makes sense of them- they ring a bell, like he's heard them before but he can't quite place it.

Which is a new sensation for him. But considering most of his powers are gone he should get used to it.]

I know we're all settling in, so I will keep this short. I just figured we may as well use this... magic, or technology or whatever this happens to be.

I'd just like to know how long have all of you been here, if we all got here more or less at the same time. And...

[He wonders how to word what comes next. If this is someone's plot, if he's inside someone's... spell, or something by the sort he doesn't want to give them any clues about his weaknesses.]

[He even smiles a bit at her, because it's true. Not that he hasn't been in similar situations before, but Diana's the one that deals with magic and hidden places somewhere in the timestream on the regular.

The smile drops as soon as she mentions this place possibly making her leave the lasso behind.]

If it helps, it wasn't just you. And in my case it wasn't even about weapons or items, since the powers were mine to begin with. I... am not sure how to feel about them being taken away from me. Or you.

I know how I feel about it. It's annoying and I don't like it.

[Okay, now she's just complaining for the sake of complaning. She blows her hair out of her face and smiles.]

We'll get through it, though. And maybe when we find out how and why and who did it, we can give them a good, if gentle, smack upside the head.

[He's glad Cassie gets it. Most people would just assume he's looking down on them for not having powers when he complains about not having his, but it's not really about that. It's about having something that's part of your identity taken away from you.]

Hopefully sooner rather than later. We don't know what's happening, back home while we're stuck here.

I don't know if "stuff is happening back home" is better or worse than "stuff isn't happening back home. Like, if we're in a time bubble or something? Because at least if something's happening back home, people know that we're missing and that they need to come find us.

Indeed. And I don't know about you but the way I left things back home... well, it wasn't exactly the best moment to leave things behind unsupervised.
