[Have a certain alien in a brightly-colored uniform in front of the mirror. Kal seems to be sitting front of the singing statues, the hymns marking the start of the message. It seems like he's been writing the hymns, trying to makes sense of them- they ring a bell, like he's heard them before but he can't quite place it.

Which is a new sensation for him. But considering most of his powers are gone he should get used to it.]

I know we're all settling in, so I will keep this short. I just figured we may as well use this... magic, or technology or whatever this happens to be.

I'd just like to know how long have all of you been here, if we all got here more or less at the same time. And...

[He wonders how to word what comes next. If this is someone's plot, if he's inside someone's... spell, or something by the sort he doesn't want to give them any clues about his weaknesses.]

[Well, he doesn't want to be specific about his powers since he doesn't know who's listening, but...]

Mostly... weaker, I suppose.

[loadme]

I don't think that really applies to me. I was already pretty ordinary, ahaha.

[She's lying.]

If anything, I can do things I couldn't before!

[This is Superman we're talking about, so of course he believes her for now. Has no reason not to trust her.]

Really? [Not what he expected, but interesting.] What kind of things, if you don't mind telling me?

Right now, I can look at other people's memories.

I think there might be more, but I'm still figuring out the rest.

[andaway]

[See that? That's Kal's body language instantly changing as he tenses up. He's just not a fan of his mind being played with, it's definitely nothing personal. Sorry Monika.]

Do they need to give you... permission for that?

[loadme]

I'd like for them to give me permission!

It would be a pretty big invasion of someone's privacy if I just did it whenever I wanted. Besides, I'm still not very good at it.

[andaway]

[Kal nods, because that's fair. And kinda the answer he was hoping for.]

It's interesting that you have abilities you didn't have before, though. Personally I had some... abilities, stripped away. I still don't know if they are going to come back, eventually.

[loadme]

I'm sorry to hear that! It must seem really weird being out of your element like this.

In my case, it's probably because I couldn't really do much before. My days were usually filled with me thinking about school and my club.

Everyone here is so much more capable than me, ahaha. But I'll do my best!

[andaway]

It is, but I will get used to it. I just don't appreciate them being taken away from me without me having a say in the matter.

I'm sure you'll more capable than what you think, I get the feeling we're all going to have to work together in this place. What kind of club, if you don't mind me asking?

[loadme]

That's pretty understandable. There's a lot here that I wish would've been done differently, to be honest. But I suppose there's no point in complaining about it now.

[What's done is done.]

Oh, I was the president of the Literature Club! We only had a couple of members, but we were all friends with each other and it was good, relaxing environment.

[andaway]

Oh! That sounds lovely. I've always loved reading and writing, myself. [Coughreportercough.]

But this must be a stressful situation for you, then. Was there such a thing as powers or magic in your world?

[loadme]

Not especially! My version of Earth turned out to be a really dull one by comparison.

But that doesn't mean exciting things didn't happen to us, ahaha!

[andaway]

I've never met a universe that'd call 'dull', but I get what you mean. You seem to be adapting quite well, though.

[loadme]

I've been getting that a lot, actually...

But the way I see it, I'd rather contribute more to a positive atmosphere than one of panic.

[andaway]

That's an extremely positive attitude.

I think you'd get along with a... relative of mine. His name is Kon, perhaps you've seen him around? He's around your age.

I've seen him around! We've talked a little bit, here and there.

I'm really impressed with the shape he's kept himself in. I'm pretty athletic myself, but I don't think I could really compare to him.

[andaway]

Takes a few moments to reply because he doesn't really know how he's supposed to react to that. He ends up chuckling in amusement]

I'm sure he'd like to hear that coming from a pretty young lady.

[loadme]

Ahaha, I'll have to let him know, then.

Still, having a relative here with you. Isn't that kind of worrying?

[andaway]

Very. But it's just as worrying to be surrounded by people so young- not that you're not capable of handling yourself, I'm sure. But I'd still rather avoid you going through this.

I don't think it's going ot be a pleasant vacation.

[loadme]

You're right about that! I would've definitely wanted to go somewhere more relaxing if I was going on vacation.

Still, what other vacation would be as exciting as this one?

[andaway]

It's going to be exciting for sure. Mostly because everything that will happen here will be completely unexpected- I usually like surprises but even I have my limits, and right now we have no idea what to expect from this place.

Or how to be back. It's hard to let this feel like a vacation when my family's back home and I don't know what they are going through.

[loadme]

It's good to know that they're in your thoughts. I'm positive they're thinking about you, too!

But you probably shouldn't worry to the point where it seriously starts to affect you. I don't think they'd like that.
