[Have a certain alien in a brightly-colored uniform in front of the mirror. Kal seems to be sitting front of the singing statues, the hymns marking the start of the message. It seems like he's been writing the hymns, trying to makes sense of them- they ring a bell, like he's heard them before but he can't quite place it.
Which is a new sensation for him. But considering most of his powers are gone he should get used to it.]
I know we're all settling in, so I will keep this short. I just figured we may as well use this... magic, or technology or whatever this happens to be.
I'd just like to know how long have all of you been here, if we all got here more or less at the same time. And...
[He wonders how to word what comes next. If this is someone's plot, if he's inside someone's... spell, or something by the sort he doesn't want to give them any clues about his weaknesses.]
Have you felt any... different since you woke up here?

A group of us showed up together a few days back, and new people have been trickling in since.
[OOC: Fine to fourth-wall her, as long as you stay away from mentioning plot details.]

So nobody's been here for that long then. We don't know much about what's going on other than what we're told.

[It was super-fun, Kal.]
I don't know if the kinks have been worked out, but no one seems to be going poof mid-sentence anymore, so that's nice.
I'm Revan, by the way.
[Since he didn't introduce himself, hint hint.]

If anyone calls him on it, he'll make a big pompous to-do about how he would never interrupt a superhero to fawn over them, because people do it to his dad and it's so awkward. ]
Not personally, no, but you should ask me again tomorrow morning.
no subject
Should I expect to feel different tomorrow?

Tim shakes his head with a shrug, and the reluctance to answer in his voice is real. He hates having to say the next three words. ]
I don't know. But I've heard people talking about how weird stuff keeps happening. Sometimes, it's more like it's weird that stuff isn't happening.
But I don't know how permanent anything about 'here' is, the way we all keep getting teleported around. I don't want to assume tomorrow will be the same.

Daryl set the mirror to hover near him while he took apart a dead animal. Smaller than he liked, no good for long term eating, but could make a decent stew if they found some tubers or some shit to toss in with it. The skin was better used for short term leather. No real ability to tan nothing where they were at, but it'd last long enough to get them through a few weeks at least. Maybe make a nice shoulder stole or something like it to help keep them warm.]
Still think I mighta gotten bit and fallen into a fever dream. But seein' as how I ain't ever heard of no one else hallucinatin' like this after they got bit, it might have ta be real. Sure am hungry enough for it. Other'n'that...
Nope.

A dream was my first idea as well, but it just... doesn't quite feel like that. Were you ill before you ended up here?
no subject
[Because it would explain things a lot more than just blindly accepting that magic of this sort was as full on real as it was and he couldn't get back to his family any time soon.]

Not just me then. I was wondering if something in this place was affecting me in particular.

Few days. I was with that first big group. I don't feel any different.
[ And now, the really pressing question, though. ]
What's with your clothes?
[ Colors, okay, but what's with that big S? ]
no subject
It's my people's uniform. It's what I was wearing when I feel down the rabbit hole, as it were.

Like some other people have said there was one big group at first, but then more started trickling in. We've been camped out here for a while now.
[The grin fades a little, because the powers thing is a sore subject right now.]
And you're not the only one that feels different. Let's just say I'm missing all the stuff that usually comes from getting my daily dose of Sunny D.
[All of it.]
Some people have lost their powers and gotten magic or weird magic weapons instead. Probably given by whatever it was that was talking to us when we were first brought here.

[Sorry, boy- he will process the actually very useful information he's shared in a moment, he just never expected to see him here.]
Can we meet somewhere, face-to-face?
move to action?
sure!

He... didn't expect to meet a fan here so it takes him a second to react, but when he does he just smiles at him.]
Last time I checked, yes I am. And you would be...?

[That was several years ago, by Brainy's reckoning. Aside from the magic of this place pulling people from different times, interdimensional travel takes a certain toll on the living. Time becomes warped, stretched out, strange. In some places they've visited, time as a concept hasn't existed at all and the Legion's existence as chronally locked beings has only been saved by their ship's dimensional shields.]
[Brainy's face makes him look like he's barely aged at all, but his eyes are a different story. They're sad. Sad and tired.]
[And yet seeing Superman seems to change that just a little.]
Superman.
[There's a subtle incline of his head in greeting, and maybe the tiniest trace of a smile at the corner of his lips.]
The facial inhibitors most likely give it away, but just for clarification -- since the prospect of being misidentified as my infantile counterpart from Earth Prime makes me want to toss myself out an airlock -- I'm the Brainiac 5 of Universe 247.
By the Legion's reckoning, it's been several years since we saw you last. I would give you a precise count but time has sometimes run strangely in some of the universes we've traveled through.

[Kal replies rather softly, like he isn’t expecting to be heard, the nickname leaving his lips in surprise. He has… a complicated relationship with the legion, one that nobody who’s never been part of the legion would even understand so he never bothers to try to explain. And part of that is what they have all gone through, together… and how hard it is to keep track of it, chronologically.
Which is the problem, right now.]
No, it’s- [He shakes his head. Part of his memories of the league were, by necessity blurry and unclear but-] I recognize you, it’s fine.
Are any of the other legionaries here with you?

[It's annoying and uncomfortable - Cassie hasn't been this squishy since she was fourteen -- but with Superman here she's got something else on her mind.]
Did Diana come with you?
no subject
I was about the ask you the same thing. So no, Diana didn't come with me.
Did you have the lasso with you when you were brought here? Could it simply have stayed behind in our world?

[The comment comes from a young man in leather armor who is sitting by a large black dragon.]
As normal as a Viking and a dragon get, anyways.
