Even with some people depowered or given altered powers, we have enough combined firepower to wreck a town.

If we try to scatter and escape in the woods during an attack we could lose people. We'll also have crappy visibility and might accidentally peg each other with magic and stuff.

We're better off going into this ready for fighting instead of running and in that case, we should pick a place where we'd have the high ground and potential shelter we won't lose each other in.
